Omikron Gallery is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Cyprus. It was founded in 2005 and since November 2009 it has been active with a programme of monthly exhibitions. Its programme was inaugurated by an exhibition of Aggelos Makrides, one of the most influential Cypriot artists, which was linked to the activities of the Cyprus Contemporary Art Museum (CYCO). Since then, the gallery has hosted exhibitions of established and emerging Cypriot artists who excel both locally and internationally and commits to continuing this ambitious programme of exhibitions.

From September 2010 Omikron has turned into a commercial gallery and so far it represents ten promising and well-established Cypriot and Greek artists of international stature. We support artists who work in a wide range of media.

The gallery' s goal is to introduce to the local and international public, artists who make up the local dynamic contemporary artistic scene and to emphasize on the importance of their work. Since May 2011 we have already started participating in international art fairs, thus promoting our artists' work. Furthermore, we aim in developing long-term relationships with museums and non-commercial institutions, curators and art-critics. We are pleased to advise public, private and corporate clients on buying art in order to start, build and maintain their collections.

Omikron Gallery commits to introducing the contemporary Cypriot art scene to an international audience, emphasising on the promising dynamics of the showcased artists' practices.
