Consumer rights and dangerous products in the EU

 

The important issue of consumer protection, the rights of consumers, the priorities of the EU and how dangerous products are checked and monitored are highlighted in Philenews’ interview with officials from the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry for Energy, Commerce and Industry.

 

Deputy director Antonis Ioannou and senior Commerce and Industry senior officer Maria Haviara Passade outline the priorities of their department, the rights of consumers through the EU and its regulations and directives those already in force and those in the pipeline.

 

They also explain why despite the strict checks, a weekly bulletin is issued listing the dangerous products within the EU market.
