Since 2009, the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies has been striving to raise the number of women in decision-making positions.
 
Director of the Institute Susana Pavlou, explains the significance of its cooperation with the European Women’s Lobby.  The abstention of women from electoral processes, Pavlou says, is linked with the low number of women candidates.
